Buddy Lynn Shelton, 65, passed peacefully, Friday, June 21, 2024, at Cone Health Wesley Long Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born on December 23, 1958, in Henry County, Virginia, to Norma Jean Fulcher Shelton and the late Buddy Hoover Shelton. Lynn was a past employee of Ridgeway Clock and Frontier Spinning. He was quiet natured, and loved being outside. Lynn’s passion was hunting, fishing, gardening and tinkering with old vehicles. Lynn had made a profession of faith and knew he had everlasting life with the Lord.
In addition to his mother, Norma Jean Hodge; Lynn is survived by a son, James Matthew Shelton; siblings, Ray Lee Shelton (Michelle), Faye S. Shelton (Lewis), Ronnie Clay Shelton (Peggy), and Chesley Ross Shelton. He is also survived by two nephews and a niece, John Shelton, Benjamin Shelton (Natalie), and Leigh Fagg (Clint); and three great-nieces and a nephew, Saddie Raines Shelton, Morgan Shelton, and Nicholas Fagg.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
