Obituary: BRUCE HARRISON CHRISMON

Bruce Harrison Chrismon, 77, passed away on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 26,2024 at Friendship United Methodist Church with Rev. Kevin Cochran and Rev. Richard LeBaube officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A graveside committal will follow the service at the church cemetery.

Bruce was born in Rockingham County to the late David Elmo Chrismon and Blanche Virginia Moore Chrismon. After graduating from Northeast Highschool Bruce attended Western Carolina University achieving a bachelor’s degree in business. He went to work as a police officer for the City of Greensboro and eventually retired as the CEO from the Greensboro Municipal Credit Union for the City of Greensboro. He enjoyed Photography, fishing, farming, woodworking and the outdoors. Most of all he loved his family.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Margie Long Chrismon; daughter, Rhonda S Kiser (Robbie) of Granite Falls, NC; granddaughter, Margie Elizabeth Rudegeair (John) of Elpaso, TX; great grandchildren, Mykel and Elizabeth Rudegeair; Siblings, David Eugene Chrismon (Sybil) of Browns Summit, NC and Maxine Daniel of Reidsville, NC as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Bruce’s caregivers, Howard Alexander, Linnea Caraway, Rose Hill, Teresa Farrar, and Kimberly Farrar.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Friendship United Methodist Church at 5222 NC Hwy 150 Browns Summit, NC 27214.
