Ms. Bridgette Antwanette Dews departed this life on Monday morning, December 4, 2023.
She was a native of Rockingham County, North Carolina and a resident of Charlotte for the past 22 years. During her leisure, she enjoyed cooking, socializing, shopping and loving her family.
Her father, William Henry Dews; grandparents, Helen Dews and William Henry Dews, Lula Ellison and Raymond Ellison, Jr.; great-grandmother, Louise Robinson; aunts, Fannie E. Wheeler and Mary Brooks; uncle, Clarence Williams, preceded her in death.
Survivors are: loving children, Imanuel Dews and LaDe’jah Dews; beloved mother, Sheila Ellison Brown; sisters, Angel Cummings and Bria’na Dews; brother, Christopher Ellison; aunts, Alice “Tina” Herbin (Darrell), Cathy Hall (Charles) and Joyce Ann Fields; uncles, Vincent Dews (Renee) and Larry Dews; devoted nephew, Bronta Crittenden; special friend, Tosha Thompson; other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023 from the chapel of Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street with Elder Billy Inge presiding.
Her remains are in the care of Johnson & Sons.
