Brenda Shelton Dorsett, 76, passed away at her home on Monday, June 2, 2025.
Brenda was born in Rockingham County to the late Doyle Shelton and Margaret Shelton. After graduating from Morehead High School Brenda went to work as a mender at Karastan Rug where she eventually met her husband, Jerry. She loved gardening, flowers, and NASCAR. Her favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. Brenda especially loved her dog, Milly B but most of all she loved her family.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Jerry Dorsett; children, Mandy M Widmark (Alex), Brian L Overby; step children, Kayleigh Cross( Justin), Justin Dorsett; grandchildren, Jaden Dorsett, Zachary Cross, Lynleigh Kelly, Rowan Cross; sister, Sandy Williams (Lesley) as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lively Stones Baptist Church.
