Obituary: BOBBY JUNIOR POPE

Bobby Junior Pope, 91, of Eden went home to be with His Lord on Friday morning, September 9, 2022, at the Eden Health and Rehabilitation Center.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm Monday, September 12, 2022, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Ridge-View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 pm Monday before the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of his daughter, 210 Rhodes Road in Eden.
Bobby was born in Stokesdale on January 27, 1931, a son of Haney Pope and Ida Mabe Pope, both deceased. He was a US Army veteran and retired delivery driver for Knight Oil Co. He was a member of Spray Baptist Church and was a 32nd degree Mason with Leaksville Lodge #136 AF & AM and Scottish Rite Bodies and was also a Shriner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Pope Pratt.
Surviving is his wife of 66 years, Opal Wilson Pope of Eden; his daughter, Deborah Pope Howell of Eden; his grandchildren, Leah Halstead and husband Preston, Troy Pratt and Taylor Pratt; and his great grandchildren, Cooper Halstead, Grant King, Kynleigh Pratt, Jackson Pratt, Ella Jane Pratt and Maisie Fitts on the way.
