Bobby “Bob” Eugene Ellington, 84, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 17, 2023, at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 6 PM on Friday, June 23rd, at Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (5 – 6 PM) in the chapel and other times at his home, 238 Le Viva Drive in Reidsville.
Bob was born September 26, 1938 in Guilford County, NC, to the late Arthur Ellington and Martha Duncan Ellington. He was a hardworking farmer all of his life and enjoyed woodworking and relaxing whenever he had a chance.
He is survived by his two children, Tammy King (B.J.) and Tim Ellington (Gina Jones); five grandchildren, Misty Greenwood (Eddie), Jason Ozment (Marla), Dustin Ellington (Nikki and children, Chloe and Brice), Holly Loftin (and her children, Brantley and Kinly) and Jackson Ellington; three great-grandchildren, Abbie Greenwood, Stella Ozment and Carter Ozment; special partner, Virginia Garner; five step-children, Timothy Garner (Iona), Elbert Garner, Marie Law (Thomas), John Garner and Cathy Marsan (Vernon); three step-grandchildren, Brittney Hughart, Kristen Roseberry and Michelle Broadnax; along with many extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, June Arthur Ellington and Howard Ellington and sisters, Lib King, Catherine Spangler, Margaret Southern, Emma Eanes, Edna Chandler and Frances Barham.
