Bishop Willie Clyde Stromas, II, the beloved husband of Pastor Sharon Meadors Covington Stromas, peacefully made his transition into life eternal on Wednesday afternoon, September 20, 2023.

He was a native of Pensacola, Florida and a resident of Stoneville for the majority of his life. After graduating for high school, he pursued further studies at Shaw University under the tutelage of Dr. Rudolph Tripp. Following many years of laboring, he retired from Fieldcrest-Cannon. Being an avid sportsman, he had a penchant for golf and pitching horseshoes. As a devout Christian and servant of God, he was the Senior Pastor/Bishop of New Life Holy Ministries of Eden.

His parents, Josephine Washington Stromas and Ernest Stromas; daughter, Josie Stromas; grandson, Zacheaus Gallant; sister, Rose Stromas, preceded him in death.

Survivors are: beloved wife, Pastor Sharon Meadors Covington Stromas; daughters, Beverly Wilson, Sherry Broadnax, Mauranda Martin (Andre), Charoity Covington and Sha’Miya Covington; sons, Tylon Barlow (Melinda), Darrell Covington, Jr. (Ria), Christopher Covington and Shamal Dyon Stromas; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, James Stromas; sisters-in-law, Shelia Farrish, Brenda Pass (Rev. Wilford) and Virginia Moore; brothers-in-law, Thomas Meadors, Darnell Meadors (Jocleyn) and Lewis Blackstock; best friend, Alphonza Dalton; special friends, Joe Coker, Jose Parrish, Floyd Steele; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from the Cornerstone Christian Center, 516 North Scales Street, Reidsville with Pastor Hamid Kamari presiding and Apostle Alicia Lindsay as the eulogist. The family visitation will be Tuesday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church. Public viewing will be Monday afternoon at Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street, Reidsville.
