Billy Sanders Galloway departed this life on Tuesday afternoon, December 6, 2022.
As a native and lifelong resident of Rockingham County, North Carolina, he attended the local public schools and was of the Baptist faith. He was a former employee of Gildan Activewear and Frontier Finishing. Billy enjoyed listening to gospel music and was a car enthusiast.
His parents, Sallie Mable Hopper Galloway and Robert Ziglar Galloway; siblings, Frank, Charles, Earl, James, Kenny and Mable Galloway, preceded him in death. Survivors are: loving sisters, Annie Moyer, Marcell Gant (Sterling) and Joann Doggett; special friends, “Redd” Doggett and Rodney; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2022 from the Trinity Holy Tabernacle Church, 2225 Smith Street with Bishop James Patrick presiding. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m. at the church. Public viewing will Friday afternoon at Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street.
