Betty Williams Rierson, 86, died on Thursday, November 2, 2023.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Comer’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
Mrs. Rierson was born on July 21, 1937 in Rockingham County to the late Roy Williams and Ida Carter Williams. She was a member of Comer’s Chapel Baptist Church and a retiree from Dillard Elementary where she served as a Teacher’s Assistant.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Donald Rierson and brother, Roy Williams, Jr.
Survivors include her son, Derek Rierson; brothers, Ronald Williams (David) and Donald Williams (Debbie) and many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Comer’s Chapel Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 1990 Bald Hill Loop, Madison, NC 27025.
