Betty Duggins Parrish, 89, entered into her Eternal Home on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Gibson House in Reidsville.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, September 12th at Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel with burial to follow in Beaver Island Baptist Church Cemetery in Mayodan. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7 – 9 PM at the funeral home and other times at the home of Kevin and Kristen Brim, 103Turner Road in Mayodan.
Betty was born August 21, 1933 to the late Charlie Franklin Duggins and Mazie Hawks Duggins. She was a member of Beaver Island Baptist Church and a retiree of Unifi, Inc.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Parrish Southern (Mark) of Mayodan; two grandchildren, Kevin Brim (Kristen) and Heather Southern; and two great-grandchildren, Mazie Diamond Brim and Parrish LeeAnn Southern.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Lee Parrish; sisters, Carol Richardson and Jeronia Vernon; brothers, James Duggins and Robie Duggins and her best friend, Lib Martin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Barry L. Joyce Cancer Resource Center, 714 Ayersville Road, Madison, NC 27025.
