Obituary: BARRY “BODINE” WAYNE DURHAM

Barry “Bodine” Wayne Durham, 43, born April 26, 1980, entered into rest August 19, 2023 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m., prior to the Memorial Service at 7 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel. Friends will be received all other times at the home of his sister, Tracy Durham, Priddy Loop, Stoneville.

Barry was born in Patrick County, to Martha Nance Durham and the late David William Durham. He worked for several different loggers. He was a skilled welder, mechanic, who loved the outdoors. Barry enjoyed horseback riding, riding motorcycles, Go Kart racing and dirt track racing, where he met Beth Ann at 311 Speedway. He also enjoyed singing Karoke aka “Barryoke”. He was also known for BFC (Barry’s Fried Chicken). He was a kindhearted person and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, George William Durham and Margaret Nance Durham; maternal grandparents, Frank Nance and Minnie Bell Martin Nance; uncles, Donnie and Fonty Durham.

Survivors include his wife, Beth Ann Martin Durham; children, Austin and Kinsley Durham; brother, Gregory William Durham (Sarah); and sister, Tracy Lynn Durham (Tommy). He is also survived by several uncles and aunts, Tim, Jan, Wendy and Gary Durham (Gail), Roger Nance, Carol Sparks, Sue Bullington, Linda Knight, Brenda Oakley, Patsy Collins, Shelby Hopkins (Wayne), and John Nance (Jan); father-in-law, Charles Lee Martin (Donna); mother-in-law, Michelle Southard (Michael); sister-in-law, Mykah Southard. Other loved ones left to cherish his memory are Ann Martin and Mitchell Lawson, special niece and nephews, Jenna, Justin, Noah, William, and many cousins and friends.

A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
