Barbara Walker Fowble, 89, of Ruffin, NC, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church in Pelham, NC, with the Reverend Lee Eggers officiating. The burial will follow at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Barbara was born in Danville, VA to the late Charlie Lenton Walker and Ruby Ashworth Walker.

She was a loving wife of 54 years to the late William Thomas Fowble, devoted mother to Terry Fowble, and was a faithful member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church where she served as the church treasurer and other offices in the church.

In addition to her parents & husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her cherished sister Estelle Pryor and Estelle’s husband J.D. Pryor and brother-in-law Charles “Pete” Cox.

Barbara is also survived by her loving sister Katie Cox and numerous nieces and nephews.
