Barbara Holland Carter Hall, 78, passed away Monday morning, July 3, 2023, at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, July 7th, at Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel in Madison with burial to follow in Pleasantville Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 – 8 PM, at Colonial Funeral Home and other times at her home, 924-B Virginia Street in Eden.
Barbara was born October 31, 1944 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late George Hugh Holland and Minnie Leona Corum Holland Tucker. She was a hairdresser for many years but later retired from Liberty Screen Print.
She is survived by her two sons, Jeff Carter of Madison and Johnny Carter of Eden; daughter, Elaine Carter of Eden; seven grandchildren Justin, Courtney, Jessica, Stephen, Katie, Samantha and Christy; great-grandchild, Axton; her precious fur babies, Cocoa and Woody; grand-puppy, Bubba; special nephew, Todd Holland and his son, Justin Holland; along with numerous other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Willie Carter; second husband, Claude Hall; two daughters, Sue Champion and Angela Newman; along with infant son, George Randy Carter.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Rockingham County for all their care and support.
