Obituary: ANTOINE RAMON TOTTEN

Antoine Ramon Totten departed this life on Friday evening, December 2, 2022.

As a native and lifelong resident of Caswell County, North Carolina, he attended the local public schools and was a graduate of Bartlett-Yancey High School, Class of 2003.  He pursued further education at the North Carolina Central University, receiving Degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice.  Being nurtured by the influences of a Christian family resulted in him becoming a member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church at a tender age.  As an active member of Mount Hermon, he was a former member of the Board of Ushers.  Later in life, he united with the Sassafras Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Gary Williams and was employed as a Correctional Officer for the State of North Carolina.  During his leisure, he enjoyed spending time with his son and family, listening to music, supporting NCCU and his favorite basketball team, San Antonio Spurs. 

His mother, Ida Olivia Totten and a brother, Robert Totten, preceded him in death. Survivors are: a loving son, J’Caden Totten; beloved father, Robert Ray Ross; grandmother, Olivia Turner Totten; special aunts, Cynthia Totten Clark, Yvonne Totten, Genola Allen (Michael), Naomi Totten, Mary Connally, Janice Staples (Mark) and Ella Mitchell; great aunts, Corrina Rivers and Mary Turner; special cousins, Tierra Allen, Lachelle Allen, Tetsuo Totten, Tadashi Totten, Lenzy Clark and Quinton Clark; special friends, Hutch Hutchinson, Madison Nelson, Kearney Bryant and Yusef Mc Neely; other relatives and friends.   

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from the Sassafras Grove Baptist Church, 3254 Old NC Highway 86 North, Blanch with Pastor Gary Williams presiding.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m. at the church. Public viewing will be Tuesday afternoon at Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street, Reidsville.
