Mr. Anthony Eugene Slade, Sr., age 55, made his transition from earth to heaven Monday, September 30, 2024 at Annie Penn Hospital after a long battle with cancer. He fought his best fight!

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 3 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Memorial Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. The family visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. with Minister Derrick Herbin, eulogist.

He was born on November 13, 1968 in Guilford county, North Carolina. He attended Guilford County Schools. He was employed by Brightview Landscaping as a crew leader where he retired from as his health took a turn.

Anthony began to take many hobbies such as home improvement, auto detailing, and landscaping. These hobbies truly proved he was a “Jack of all Trades”. However, his passion for Mustangs outweighed all of these things. He loved to repair them back to their original condition and complete his infamous “ burn-outs”.

Anthony is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Pete and Lena Slade, Jessie and Lassie King; and his in laws Wilbert and Carolyn McCain.

His memories are left to be cherished by his beloved wife, Laurie Slade; parents Jimmy Slade Sr. and Shirley Slade; children Britney Slade, Anthony Slade Jr, Kenneth Slade; granddaughter Na’Ziah Webb; siblings Delsie “Renae” Slade, Jimmy “Lucky” Slade Jr, Beverly Slade, Courtney Cobb, Kym Brown (Eric), Damien Slade, Christian Slade; special friends Rome Thomas and Tajuan Galloway; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
