Ms. Annette Dillard departed this life on Monday afternoon, July 18, 2022.
As a native and lifelong resident of Rockingham County, North Carolina, she attended the local public schools and was a graduate of Morehead High School. She pursued further education at Rockingham Community College, receiving an Associate Degree. Spiritually, she was a faithful member of The Only Way Church of Christ, under Pastor David Cabiness. She found joy in drawing, cooking, writing poems and spoiling all of her grandchildren.
Her parents, Ophelia Moyer Dillard and George Dillard; grandson, Kenneth Bridges; brothers, Anthony Dillard (twin), Aubrey Dillard and Nathaniel Dillard; sister, Joanne Irving, preceded her in death.
Survivors are: son, Antonio Hopper; daughters, Kristin Bridges (Rick) and Breionna Bridges; grandchildren, Amari, Kristopher, Kendrick, Ka’Niyah and Kamron; brothers, Melvin Dillard (Debra), Pandu Michael Dillard and Dean Dillard; sisters, Janice Dillard and Denise Dillard; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at The Only Way Church of Christ, 128 Roosevelt Street with Elder David Cabiness, presiding and Elder Hamid Kamara, the eulogist.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m. at the church.
