Obituary: ANNA HALL THORNTON

Anna Hall Thornton, 53 of Eden, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025 at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville.

A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Friday, April 18, 2025 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 11am – Noon, at Fair Funeral Home. The family will welcome friends at the Morehead-Fair House following the service and burial.

Anna was born August 23, 1971 in Charleston, South Carolina, to the late Ernest Milton Hall, Sr. and Marlene McCardle Hall. After high school, Anna became a CNA. She then worked at Miller Brewing Company for over 15 years. Anna was a strong, loving woman who helped many people over her lifetime. She had a big heart and loved her family and friends.

Surviving are her children, Brandon Joyce of the home and Brianna Joyce (Tommy Penn) of Ruffin; siblings, Shirley Johnson (Rex) of Georgia, Charles Elliott (Kelly) of Clayton, NC, Deborah Ross and Kelly Elliott, both of Missouri, Tina Carden of Graham, NC, Thomas Hall (Mary) of Georgia, Sam Hall (Vicki) of Durham, NC Tammy Douglas (Stephen) of Holly Springs, NC, Pat Meredith (Matt) of Durham, NC; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Anna is preceded in death by her husband, Paul “Rusty” Thornton and sisters, Paula Crabtree and Pamela Watkins.
