Obituary: ANDREW SANDERS SHELTON

On Thursday, June 30th, Andrew Shelton, a loving father, brother, and son passed away unexpectedly at the age of 29.
Andrew was born on February 19th, 1993, in Stuart, VA. He was an electrician for several years, but his true passion was working on cars. He met the love of his life in 2010, Lindsey Potter, and together they had Levi Andrew Shelton, his son. They enjoyed family trips to the local trampoline parks and playing video games, and they shared a passion for cars. His son meant everything to him and together they had a special bond between father and son. Levi looked up to his dad, not only as a father but also as his hero.
He is also survived by his parents Christopher Shelton and Tabitha Shelton; brothers Matthew Shelton, Christopher Shelton (Runt), and Allan Mabe (Bubba); stepsister Shanice Mabe; nieces Emma Shelton and Kambree Phillips; uncle Michael Shelton, and grandfather Eugene Shelton.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Liz Shelton.
In his short life, Andrew endured many challenges but always overcame them. He always described himself as “self-made”. No matter what situation someone was in, Andrew was always there to lend a helping hand. He truly had a heart of gold. He would light up a room when he entered and always had a way of making everyone around him laugh and smile. He will be forever loved and missed by many.
A Memorial service will be held at 4 pm Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel, 1020 Hope Beasley Rd, Sandy Ridge, NC 27046.
