Allen Woodrow Mabe, Jr. 74 of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Monday September 19, 2022 at Annie Penn Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday in Mount Carmel United Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites. The family will see friends following the committal service in the fellowship hall of the church and at other times at the home.

A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late Allen Woodrow Mabe, Sr. and the late Mary Louise Evans Mabe and had lived his entire life in Rockingham County. Allen was a retired employee of Piedmont Office Supply Company and was a US Army veteran having served in Germany during the Vietnam Conflict. A member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, he served as a Lay Speaker and had served on many committees throughout the years. He was a faithful member of the United Methodist Men. Allen enjoyed traveling and being with his family. He was preceded in death by his In-Laws: Nuel and Rhoda Shelton.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years: Odelia Shelton Mabe of the home, brother; John Robert “Bobby” Mabe of Reidsville, sister: Penny M. Nicholes of Reidsville sisters-in-law: Becky Martin (Joey) and Rhonda Johnson (Richard) both of Reidsville, nephews: Eric Martin, James Robert Nicholes, and Michael Vincent (Megan), his niece: Tracy Hall (Bruce), great nephews and nieces: Josh and Liam Martin, Natalie, Kinsley, and Emberleigh Vincent, and Tatum Hall.
