Alice Faye Barham,82, passed away peacefully at Heartland Nursing Facility on January 12, 2024.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Mayodan First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m.

Alice was born on April 26, 1941 to the late Walter and Elsie Mabe, in Stokes County. She loved spending time with her family especially her children and grandchildren. Alice was dedicated to reading and teaching others about the Bible. She organized an evening bible study at Stone Arbor apartments, they met every Tuesday. Alice was a faithful member of Mayodan First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel F. Barham; and sisters, Annie J. Mabe, Eva M. Hall; brothers, Fred Thomas “Billy” Mabe, Grady Mabe, Jr., James Ray Mabe, Robert Mabe, Rex Ellis Mabe.

Survivors include her children, Charles “Chuck” Barham, Jr. (Tara), Karen “Susie” James (Michael), David C. Barham (Nikki); grandchildren, Elizabeth Sedlock, Kaitlyn Barham, Natalie Barham; great-grandchildern, Walter Sedlock, Genevieve Sedlock; brothers, Bobby F. Mabe, Harold L. Mabe.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mayodan First Baptist.

Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
