On October 12, 2023 Aaron Noel Johnson Marriott turned himself in to the Rockingham County Sheriffs Office. Marriott is being held under NO BOND and is scheduled to appear in Rockingham County District Court on October 17, 2023

UPDATE – Suspect wanted for 1st Degree Murder
As a result of a thorough and ongoing investigation into the death of Al Jamar Lindsay, Investigators with the Eden Police Department, have obtained warrants on Aaron Noel Johnson Marriott (22) of Eden.
Aaron Noel Johnson Marriott has been charged with one count of murder in the first degree and is still at large.
The whereabouts of Aaron Marriott are currently unknown.

Deadly Shooting at 111 N Hundley Street
On Sunday, October 1, 2023, at approximately 01:09 am, members of the Eden Police Department responded to The Rabbit Hole, Located at 111 N Hundley Street, regarding a shooting incident. Al Jamar Lindsay (39) was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the business’s parking lot. Despite life-saving measures, Al Jamar Lindsay succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The initial investigation indicated that a group was involved in a physical altercation. Al Jamar Lindsay was not involved in the altercation but was approached by a subject who fired shots directly at Al Jamar Lindsay in close range. The subject fled the scene in the ensuing chaos and has not been found. This investigation is ongoing. Future updates will be provided as they become available.
