Brandon Tyler Handy, 20, faces multiple charges following a shooting incident on May 16.
(Eden, NC) – On Friday May 16, 2025, at 8:51 P.M. Officers with the Eden Police Department were dispatched to the 1400 block of Delaware Avenue in reference to shots fired in the area. Eden Police officers apprehended the suspect, Brandon Tyler Handy (20) of Eden North Carolina. After an extensive investigation, the Eden Police Department has charged Brandon Tyler Handy for the following:

• Discharging a weapon into an occupied property (Felony)
• Child Abuse (Misdemeanor)
• Simple Assault (Misdemeanor)
• Go armed to the terror of the people (Misdemeanor)
• Discharge a firearm inside the city (Misdemeanor)
Handy was transported to the Rockingham County Magistrates Office where the Magistrate issued Handy a written promise to appear. Brandon Tyler Handy is scheduled to appear in Wentworth District Court on May, 29th, 2025 at 9:00am.
