(Eden, NC) – On June 14, 2023 at approximately 12:00 PM investigators with the Eden Police Department received information that Scottie Ray Roberts (52) of Ridge Ave. had been having concerning interaction with a juvenile. Investigators knew Roberts to be a registered sex offender and immediately began to conduct a thorough investigation.
At approximately 10:30 PM on June 14, Investigators arrested Scottie Roberts and executed a search warrant for his residence.
Scottie Ray Roberts of Eden, North Carolina, was arrested and charged with one (1) count of Indecent Liberties with a Child (Felony). Roberts was taken before a Rockingham County Magistrate and issued a $500,000 secured bond. Roberts is scheduled to appear in Rockingham County District Court on June 26, 2023.
