Friends of retired Reidsville Police Department Corp. Daniel B. Velazquez, who died suddenly Friday, June 3, have initiated two fundraisers to help pay his funeral expenses and assist his youngest son, Elisha, with expenses when he enrolls at Appalachian State University in the fall.
