Ebony Burnett, senior association youth development director of YMCA of Greensboro is a participant in the Achievery Learning Cohort, a project of the National Afterschool Association (NAA) with support from AT&T. Burnett is one of 10 Out of School Time (OST) professionals participating in the project.
UNC Health Rockingham has named Dr. Thresa Hardy its new chief nursing officer (CNO) and chief operating officer (COO). Hardy joined UNC Health Rockingham in September 2020 as Accreditation Manager. She was promoted to Director of Quality, Accreditation, and Patient Safety in February 2021 before assuming her new role.
On March 9, 2023, Martin Calvin Cox, Jr., 43, pled guilty in Rockingham County Superior Court to two counts of First-Degree Murder and one count of Attempted First-Degree Murder. Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Stan Allen sentenced Cox to Life in Prison without the possibility of Parole.
