The N.C. Department of Transportation’s Office of Historically Black Colleges and Universities has awarded $24,000 to 16 students for the 2022-2023 North Carolina Historically Black Colleges and Universities/Minority-Serving Institution Transportation Scholarship Program

A Durham businessman was arrested Monday, March 20, 2023, on felony tax charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue. Peter Kagwanja, 62, was charged with three counts of Embezzlement of State Property.
A Triangle businessman was arrested Monday, March 20, 2023, on felony tax charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue related to business locations in Durham, Raleigh, and a former location in Chapel Hill. Raed Abdel Karim Amra, 47, of Apex, was charged with fifteen counts of Embezzlement of State Property.
