Battle of Guilford Courthouse Reenactment and Education Events Set for March 15-16






GREENSBORO, NC (March 3, 2025) – The City of Greensboro and the National Park Service will host a reenactment of the Revolutionary War Battle of Guilford Courthouse – and other living history programs – at Country Park and the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park March 15-16. All programs are free.

2025 Event Schedule

Visitors to Guilford Courthouse National Military Park can connect with the history of the era through artillery demonstrations, performances by the Carolina Colonial Dancers, and interactive programs on colonial music, medicine, and Revolutionary War pensions. Outdoor programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Battle of Guilford Courthouse Reenactment

Time: The battle reenactment will take place at 2 pm both Saturday, March 15, and Sunday, March 16; vendors and reenactors will be at camp sites from 10 am to 5 pm, Saturday, March 15, and 10 am to 3 pm, Sunday, March 16.

Location: Country Park and Guilford Courthouse National Military Park

Parking: Event parking available at Jaycee Park, 3802 Jaycee Park Dr. (Nathanael Greene Drive entrance is closed during this event)

Country Park will host reenactors who will set up military encampments, depicting the lives of the 18th century Revolutionary War soldiers. Vendors will also be on hand with colonial merchandise, goods, and food for sale. There will be food and drinks for purchase at the battlefield.

The battle will be reenacted at 2 pm daily on land where the battle took place in 1781 in Country Park. The reenactment starts promptly and visitors are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes early to walk or take golf cart shuttles to the battlefield from the parking area. NPS will also host living history programs, including musket and artillery demonstrations, at Guilford Courthouse National Military Park at 11 am and 1 pm. Due to the noise of the cannons and musket fire, dogs are not permitted on the battlefield.
