William “Bill” Wall, 74, left this earthly life on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Gibson House Hospice.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Riverview Cemetery in Madison.

Mr. Wall was born on June 26, 1948 in Rockingham County to the late Robert Lindsay Wall, Sr. and “Gwendolyn” Lou Phillips Wall. Bill loved drag racing, wild women, a cold beer and telling stories of days gone by. For many years he worked for the family lumber business, Wall Lumber Company, Hedgecock Building Supply and Eddie’s Service Center in Mayodan. He was an expert engine repairman and will forever be remembered for helping anyone in need and providing a safe place to stay.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Wall.

Left to cherish his memory and stories is his favorite person, Eddie Tilley and family, Crisann, Kylee and Wyatt; special friends, Christell Lewis (Pete) and Kenneth Allen and his devoted companion, Tazz. Mr. Wall is also survived by his daughter, Patty and granddaughter, Olivia.
