Marie Lawson Clifton, 74, passed away on Saturday, October 1st at her residence in Stoneville, NC.
A graveside service will be held 11 am. Wednesday at Mt. View Cemetery in Ridgeway, VA. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 – 6 Pm at Fair Funeral Home.
Marie was born June 5, 1948 in Leaksville, NC to the late Willie and Mary Higgs Lawson. She was a former employee of UNIFI. Marie was of the Holiness faith. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles and most of all she loved watching and reading magazine’s of Soap Opera’s.
She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband Jerry Arnold Clifton; and two brothers; James W. Lawson and Michael Lawson of Ridgeway.
Surviving are sons; Ronald Wayne Clifton of Bassett; Matthew Gordon Clifton and Joey Arnold Clifton both of Eden; sister, Doris Jean Lawson Massey of Ridgeway; daughter-in-law, Sheril Lynne Simpkins of Stoneville; grandchildren, Felicia Clifton, Andrew Clifton and Houston Farmer; 10 great grandchildren.
