Laura Sue Moorefield Harris, 73, of Greensboro, NC went to be with the Lord Sunday August 28, 2022 at the AuthoraCare Hospice Home Burlington, NC.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday August 30, 2022 in Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Bob Peterson officiating
A native of Rockingham County she was a daughter of the late LeRoy and Lorraine Rierson Moorefield and had lived most of her life in Rockingham County. A retired employee of Creighton Shirtmakers, she enjoyed sewing, and just being a grandmother. Laura ‘s favorite time of the year was Christmas where she looked forward to the family gatherings and decorations.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Dewey A. Harris, Sr., her son: Dewey A. Harris, Jr., three brothers: Ray Moorefield, Rodney Moorefield, and Roger Moorefield and a sister; Linda Shough.
Survivors include her sons: Robert B. Harris (Donna) of Greensboro, David Harris and Tommy Harris both of Denver CO, sisters: Lora Murphy (Ron) of Chesapeake, VA, Loretta Paxton (Keith) of Richmond, VA and Lydia Hickey (Ron) of Sevierville, TN, grandchildren: Laura Kay Harris, Joshua Harris, Katie Harris, Nathaniel Harris, Makayla Harris, and Morgan McIntyre, and a great grandchild: Branson Massey.
