Mrs. Lottie Mae Brooks Bethel departed this life on Saturday, August 13, 2022.
She was a native of Virginia and a resident of North Carolina for the majority of her life. Mrs. Bethel was a retiree of New Laundry & Cleaners and enjoyed nature, flowers and gardening.
Her parents, Mary Brooks and Elijah Crawley; step-father, Van Allen Brooks; beloved husband, Robert Walter Bethel; great-grandson, Aiden Polk; brother, Edward Crawley, preceded her in death.
Survivors are: loving daughters, Betty Jean Brooks, Mary Ann Brooks, Doretha Hampton, Loretta Simpson, Clara Mark, Margaret Stedwell, Florine Clark, Josephine Clark and Bridgette Neal Clark; devoted sons, Clarence Edward Brooks, Larry Darnell Clark, Dennis Earl Brooks, Percy Lee Brooks, Timothy Jerome Clark and Tracy Lamont Clark; a host of step-children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; sister, Christine Neal; special aunt, Frances Roberts; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2022 from the Cornerstone Christian Center, 516 North Scales Street with Elder Connell Clark presiding. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m. at the church.
