It is with our deepest regrets that we lost our beloved son, Douglas Jason “Jake” Crawford on November 2nd, 2024. Although our hearts are saddened and he will forever be missed we know that he is finally at peace.
Jake was born on December 20th 1984 in Eden North Carolina. He is the youngest son born to Douglas and Donna (Hodges) Crawford. He attended Morehead high school and was currently employed at Spray Booth Solutions. Jake was a believer in Jesus Christ and was baptized at the young age of 13 years old. Jake also made it known that he knew about the word of God.
Jake was hilarious, warm, fearless, resilient, and had the biggest heart of anyone you would ever have meet. He never met a stranger and would literally give people the shirt off of his back. He could and would talk to everyone and tried to make the people around him happy. When you were in his company you wanted to stay. If he told you he loved you, you knew he loved you. If he called you brother or sister he meant it from the bottom of his heart.
Jake loved his family but more than anyone else he loved his son, Jacob. We know that Jake is dancing in the sky with those who preceded him. Brandon Myott and Ryan Burroughs as well as so many others we are sure they greeted him as he entered into his final resting place with our heavenly father.
Jake is survived by his son, Jacob; his mother Donna Crawford, his father Douglass Crawford (Sandy), brothers Michael (Angie) and William Crawford. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Melvin and Inez Hodges, paternal grandparents Eddie Crawford and Margaret Crawford.
