Mrs. Richetta Pass Hatchett, age 77, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at her residence.
Public viewing will begin on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 12 until 8 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.
The committal and interment will follow in the Bluestone Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the residence of her goddaughter, Joyce and Reynard Hall, 148 Stockton Road, Reidsville, NC.
She was born on December 17, 1946 in Rockingham County, NC to Richard and Georgia Badgett Pass. She was married to the late Robert Hatchett.
She was educated in the local public schools and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School.
Professionally, she was a Respiratory Therapist and worked at Moses Cone Hospital and Annie Penn Hospital with over 40 years of service.
She was a former member of Elm Grove Baptist Church for over 30 years before moving her a membership back to Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a missionary.
Richetta had a deep love for animals, a passion she shared with everyone she met. She found joy in shopping and had an eye for finding the perfect gift for loved ones. With a warm and open spirit, she truly enjoyed meeting new people, always ready to share a smile and a story. Her kind heart and zest for life will be remembered by all who knew her.
Survivors include goddaughter, Joyce Ferrell-Hall (Reynard); godsons, Bradley Hall, Blake Hall, Michael J. Pass and Dietrick Pass (Tia); caregiver/cousin, Pearlie Ferrell; sisters/cousins, Carrie B. Pass, Rhodie A. Johnson; brothers/cousins, Franklin Pass and Reverend Avon Bailey; nieces, Regina Galloway (Lewis) and Richetta Bailey (Monte); special friends, Jean Price and Tom Parker; a host of relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her twin brother, Richard Pass; godparents, Charlie Jack and Ellen Jones Pass; brothers/cousins, Willie L. Pass, David Pass, Willard L. Pass; sister/cousin, Lucinda Millner.
