James Dennis Wyatt, 62, of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away on December 28, 2023.
He grew up in the Wentworth/Oregon Hill area of Rockingham County, North Carolina. He was born in Reidsville, North Carolina on October 17, 1961 to Harold and Vivian Wyatt. He graduated from Rockingham County High School in 1980. He was employed by NCDOT for approximately 20 years, receiving on-job career advancement training. After his move to Colorado, he continued his career in the same expertise.
He loved all sports and was a die-hard Carolina basketball fan. He was a catcher for his high school baseball team and was pursued by Clemson University. He declined the offer to focus on other career goals. He enjoyed fishing and living in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
He was predeceased by his father, Harold Wyatt; grandparents, Claude and Claudine Wyatt, and Willie T. and Esther Lovelace.
He is survived by his daughter, Tenna Wyatt; mother, Vivian L. Wyatt, aunts, cousins and friends.
He was of the Christian faith and a celebration of his life gathering will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. You are invited to bring along your cherished memories and stories to share, to honor his life and comfort his loved ones.
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Randy Kechter, a true friend to Dennis, whom Dennis admired and looked up to like a brother.
Inurnment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 9:00 AM, Monday, October 28, 2024.
