Olde Leaksville Nighttime Parade Revived

Cherished Eden Parade is revived with help from community businesses and supporters.
[EDEN, NC, September 24, 2024] – We are excited to share that two Eden businesses are stepping up to organize the beloved Olde Leaksville Nighttime Christmas Parade! Ingrid McCraw and Sandra Meadows, owners of RoCo Is Home LLC, and Leslie Wyatt, owner of Hive – Eden, are leading the efforts to ensure this cherished event remains a joyous celebration for everyone in our community.
While we were saddened to learn that the parade faced cancellation due to a lack of volunteers, we believe that the holiday season is a time for unity and celebration. This was proven Tuesday, September 24th, when an outpouring of support was shown at an interest meeting at City Hall. This group of active community members and merchants are committed to bringing this festive tradition back to life.
“The holiday season is a time for unity and celebration,” said McCraw. “We are thrilled to take on this project with the support of our fellow merchants and community. Our goal is to revitalize the spirit of the parade and create a magical experience for everyone in Uptown Eden, Downtown Leaksville, and throughout Eden.” Meadows added, “This is more than just a parade; it’s a wonderful opportunity to bring our community together and promote our local businesses. We are eager to step in during this pivotal moment and ensure that our cherished tradition not only continues but flourishes for future generations.”
Leslie Wyatt emphasized the importance of collaboration among local merchants. “By working together, we can create an event that truly reflects the spirit of our community,” she said. “Uniting our efforts is essential not only for the success of the parade but for fostering lasting relationships among local businesses.
