Eden Man Facing Indecent Liberties & Statutory Sexual Offense Charges

(Eden, NC) – On Thursday, September 19, 2024, The Eden Police Department received a report alleging a sexual assault involving a twelve (12) year old.
After a thorough investigation and consulting with the Rockingham County District Attorney’s Office, Detective Sergeant Aubrie Stoneman secured warrants on 26-Year old Peyton Alexander Ladd of Eden, for the following offenses:
- 1 Count of First Degree Statutory Sexual Offense (Felony)
- 1 Count of Indecent Liberties with a Child (Felony)
Peyton Alexander Ladd was transported to the Rockingham County Magistrates office and is being held under no bond. Ladd is scheduled to appear in Rockingham County District Court on October 7, 2024.
At this time the investigation is ongoing, and due to the age of the victim, no further information will be released at this time.
