Rosie Marie Handy Pack, 71, went to sleep in the arms of Jesus on Monday, September 16, 2024 at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday, September 21, 2024 at New Beginning Apostolic Church, 687 Shady Grove Rd, Eden. Burial will follow at Mayodan Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1-2pm, at New Beginning Apostolic Church.

Rosie was born on March 15, 1953 in Rockingham County to the late Robert Benjamin Handy and Mary Pruitt Handy. Rosie was a graduate of Stoneville High School. She worked for Gem Dandy, Burlington Industries, and retired from Unifi. Rosie was a member of New Beginning Apostolic Church. She was a loving, caring sister, devoted wife, and of the Christian faith. With her caring spirit, she supported animal rights and Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her family and listening to gospel music.

In addition to her parents, Rosie is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cecil Pack; brother, James Handy; and sisters, Virginia Handy, Debra Williams, and Mildred Lancaster.

Surviving are her brothers, Wayne Handy (Terry), Junior Handy (Linda), Tim Handy (Kristie Hawkins); sisters, Ruth Wray (Wayne), Linda Gibson (Ronnie), Pattie Cardwell (Chip), Bobbie Ziglar (Kevin Smith), and Joann Price (David); and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special caregivers, Marie Pack and daughter Amanda; special canines, Annie and Sarge.
