Annie B. Ellington, 82, of Reidsville, NC passed Wednesday, July 13, 2022.
Public viewing will be held Friday, July 15, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. 0 7:30 p.m. at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. Visitation will be Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Jones Chapel Baptist Church, 179 Jones Chapel Road, Reidsville, NC from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. with funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at the church cemetery.
Annie Bell Galloway Ellington was born in Rockingham County to the late James and Sarah Broadnax Galloway on April 6, 1940. She departed this life on July 13, 2022, at Wesley Long Hospital, Greensboro, NC.
Annie was educated and was a graduate of Charles Drew High School, Madison, NC. She was employed with Rockingham County School System as a custodian for many years. She joined Jones Chapel Baptist Church at an early age and was affiliated with various organizations of the church, Deaconess, Trustee Board, Usher Board, Communion Steward, Baptismal Preparation and Pastor Aide.
Annie Bee was also preceded in death by her husband, Norris “Tab” Ellington, her siblings, Posey Woods, Lillie Brim, Alberta Broadnax, Kate Carter, Gladys Dillard, Roy Galloway, George Galloway and James Galloway.
Annie Bell leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted sisters; Daisy G. McCollum of the home and Emma Dillard of Reidsville, NC, numerous nieces, nephews, a multitude of friends and other relatives.
