Obituary: ROSWELL CLINTON TURNER

Roswell Clinton Turner departed this life on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

He was a native of Caswell County, North Carolina and a resident of Greensboro for 40 years before returning to Caswell County 6 years ago. “Clint”, as he was affectionately referred by family and close friends, was a graduate of Caswell County High School, Class of 1969 and was a retiree of North State Automotive. He was formerly employed by Dudley Products in Greensboro and Chicago, Illinois. As a car enthusiast, he was a self-employed car salesman and enjoyed gardening during his leisure.

His parents, Gladys Poteat Turner and Naaman Turner; siblings, Anthony Turner and Beverly Turner Allen, preceded him in death.

Survivors are: loving companion, Vickie Lawson; devoted children, Tangii Graves, Terrie Scales (James) and Todd Graves; grandchildren, Tyler Graves and Aaron Wilson; sisters, Linda Purcell, Min. Carolyn Richmond (Min. Harvey), Marian Turner, Sheliah Turner, Lajoie Horton (Willie) and Mona Lisa Whitsett (Jerry); sister-in-law, Rachel Turner; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from the New Ephesus Baptist Church, 8939 Highway 158 East, Ruffin with Pastor E. Lamar Boykin presiding. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 until 2:30 p.m. at the church.

His remains are in the care of Johnson & Sons.
