Marie Kelly Shelton
August 9, 1931-January 16, 2024
Marie, 92, formerly of Reidsville and longtime resident of Greensboro passed away peacefully after a short illness on January 16, 2024 at Camden Health & Rehabilitation Center.
A small service is being planned for the spring.
She retired from Southern Foods where she enjoyed a long career in home food sales. She was a member of Muirs Chapel Methodist Church where she was involved in Bible class, Circle Meeting, and the Senior Choir. Marie was known for her warm smile, quick wit, love of music and gardening. She was always up for a trip to the beach and a good dining experience.
She is preceded in death by her mother Jewel Barber Kelly.
She is survived by her two children Susan and Mike Comer. Susan’s son Brian Clark and his wife Sara. Mike’s wife Sheryl and her daughter Ashley Dills, her husband Chris and son Beau. Her sister Frances Patterson of Reidsville and nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Joanne Simpson for her loving care.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to the charitable organization of their choice.
