Mayodan Police Department News Release • September 4, 2023 • Capt. T. Brim
(Mayodan, NC) – On Sunday, September 3, 2023, at 18:19 hours, the Mayodan Police Department received a report of a possible gunshot victim at Food Lion, located at 614 Burton Street in Mayodan, North Carolina. Officers responded to the incident location and found Charles Wayne Bullins, 18, of Mayodan, North Carolina lying in the parking lot area suffering from a single gunshot wound t the chest.
Officers secured the scene and performed life saving measures untill Emergency Services arrived. Mr. Bullins was transported to UNC Health Rockingham in Eden, North Carolina. Mr. Bullins unfortunately passed away as a result of his injuries.
This case is currently under investigation. Our thsoughts and prayers go out to the friends and families of those involved. Once completed, we will send out additional information.
