The occupancy tax collections in FY 2023 came in higher than originally projected and this action will increase the FY 2024 to be in line with revenue expectations for the current fiscal year.

6. Approval- Decrease the Youth Services Fresh Start program budget $6,022. This will align the county budget to the FY 2024 approved NC DPS grant award.

8. Approval- Appropriate FY 23-24 Opioid Fund operating budget for Strategic Planning Initiative and BHUC Professional Services. Reverse the 7/17/2023 budget amendment appropriating the additional settlement funds to be received over 18 years. It was recently determined that NC General Statutes do not authorize a multi-year budget on
these Settlement Funds. An annual budget is required and therefore must be included in the annual adopted budget ordinance going forward. This amendment will correct FY 23-24 budget.
