Obituary: HELEN LOUISE STRADER JEFFRES

Helen Louise Strader Jeffress, born June 4, 1927 to Raymond and Lillian McKinney Strader. She had lived her entire life in the Bethel Church community of Caswell County. Helen married Irvin Howard Jeffress, Jr. and from the marriage they had two children Kay Jeffress Satterfield (Gordon) and June Jeffress Wells (William). She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and worked alongside her husband on the family tobacco and cattle farm on Park Springs Rd. for over fifty years. She was preceded in death by her husband: Irvin Howard Jeffress, Jr., her son-in-law: William Wells, and her siblings: Elmer Strader, E.G. Strader, Jack Strader, and Raymond Strader.

Survivors include her daughters: Kay Jeffress Satterfield (Gordon) and June Jeffress Wells, grandchildren: John Irvin Satterfield (Jennifer), Tammy Scott (Lea), Kimberly Jones (Ronnie), and William Irvin Wells, nine great grandchildren, and a sister: Lemma Strader Hooks along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to current family circumstances a private memorial service will be held at a later date, and the family requests visitation be limited to the home of June Wells at 7033 Park Springs Rd. Pelham, NC.

The family wishes to thank Doris Hamlett and Janice Harris Helen’s caretakers for their wonderful care. Further gratitude to Beacon Place for Helen’s care at their hospice home.
