Joseph “Joe” Marshall Shaw, 51, left his earthly home Saturday, June 10, 2023.
Joe was born September 10, 1971, in Alamance County, Burlington, N.C., to the late James “Jim” Edward Shaw and Betty Wheeler Shaw. He sold cars for 30+ years with Modern Nissan of Winston Salem. He liked having the ability to make others happy. Joe’s greatest passion was his son and how proud he was to be a father. He was known for being an amazing father to Zach as well to his godson Seth. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys on Sundays, watching the Atlanta Braves, and screaming “Go Heels”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a twin brother, Jimmy Shaw, and father-in-law, Robert Leon Mabe.
Joe is also survived by his best friend and mother of Zach, Melissa Mabe Shaw; a sister, Debbie Vaughn (Rick), and mother-in-law, Cindy Mabe; a host of friends, and his special canine companion Zeke.
Joe may be gone but his heart and impact on others will continue. “I love you, Dad. See you one day.” Zach
