William Lawrence Donnell, 67, of Eden, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023, at UNC Rockingham Health Care.
Per William’s request, no services will be held at this time. The family will receive friends at the home of Ruth Fain, 367 Fisher Hill Rd, Eden, NC.
Sinner saved by Grace! Faithful to God. Faithful to his wife. Faithful to his family. Faithful to his friends.
Romans 1:16 – I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.
Matthew 25:21 – “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
William was born June 12, 1955, in Staten Island, New York, to the late Lawrence Alexander and Florence Alling Donnell. He enjoyed fishing and camping. William never met a stranger. He bought and distributed Bibles to friends and strangers alike. He loved his pets dearly.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 47 years, Catherine Fain Donnell; sisters, Ruth Donnell Pfeister of Sturgeon Bay, WI, Laurence Evelyn D. Henry of Orlando, FL; mother-in-law, Ruth Fain of Eden, NC; sister-in-law, Beverly Spence of Eden, NC; brother-in-law, Larry Spence of Eden, NC; numerous nieces and nephews.
