Obituary: NATASHA YVETTE JONES WALKER

Mrs. Natasha Yvette Jones Walker transitioned to her Heavenly home on Sunday, January 1, 2023 in Greensboro, North Carolina.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Chapel with family visitation one half hour prior to the service and burial to follow in the St. Thomas Chapel Cemetery. Public visitation will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the McLaurin Memorial Chapel, 721 E. Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Natasha Yvette Jones Walker was born on April 4, 1990 at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Rocky Mount, VA to the late Jonita Lathan and Nathaniel Jones.

Natasha graduated from Eastern Guilford High School in 2009 in Greensboro, NC where she also resided. She later studied at Guilford Community College.

Natasha worked at Apple, as a customer service representative for over six years. Later, she was inspired to become an entrepreneur and founded Natasha Credit Services. On this platform, she thrived and found her purpose. By being a tax professional consultant, Natasha brought great joy and positivity to her community. She truly enjoyed investing in her clients’ future – Making the impossible, become possible.

Natasha attended her childhood church, St. Thomas Chapel, where she sung in the Children’s Choir as a child. As an adult, she later joined the Usher Board and the Praise Dance Ministry. She truly loved attending church and giving glory to God for all he did in her life.

On November 7, 2021, Natasha married the love of her life, Jesse Omega Lee Walker. She was excited to celebrate her first full year of marriage with him this past November 2022.

Natasha was preceded in death by her mother, Jonita Lathan and stepfather, Johnny Lathan.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Jesse Walker; their two beautiful daughters, Makayla Staley and McKenzie Walker; her father, Harvey Jones (Marcella); her grandparents, Bishop James and Lady Elect Hunter; her sister, Keyona Manns; her nephew, Tyrezz; her two brothers, Walter James Jones (Jaime) and Harvey Jones, Jr. (Ruby); three aunts, Rita Hunter, Tonya Hurst (Darryl), and Teresa Neal (Terry); one uncle, Darryl Hunter (Diane); and a host of family and friends who will truly miss her.

Ashton and Yolanda McLaurin and the staff of the McLaurin Funeral Home is serving the family. Covid-19 precautions will be followed with social distancing, masks and sanitizing required.
