Ms. Linda Livia Blackwell departed this life on Tuesday evening, January 3, 2023.
As a native and lifelong resident of Rockingham County, North Carolina, she attended the local public schools and was a graduate of Reidsvillle Senior High School, Class of 1987. Spiritually, she was a member of Jerusalem United Holy Church. During her leisure, she enjoyed reading the Bible, listening to gospel music and spending time with family.
Her mother, Lizora Mc Collum Malloy, preceded her in death.
Survivors are: beloved father, Ernest Robert Blackwell; special aunts, Joyce Blackwell, Frances Mc Collum Grace, Ruby Jean Keen (Marvin), Nancy Broadnax and Catherine G. Mc Collum; uncles, George Mc Collum (Rose), Michael Mc Collum, Ronnie Blackwell and Freddie Blackwell; special friends, Terrance Cobb, Mark Boler, Percy Broadnax, Pamela Redd, classmates, church family, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023 from the chapel of Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street with Rev. Orinzie Hooks presiding.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 until 8 p.m. at Johnson & Sons.
