Ms. Minnie Florence Millner departed this life on Thursday afternoon, January 5, 2023.
She was a native of Cascade, Virginia and a resident of Rockingham County for the majority of her life. Attending the local public schools, she was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Class of 1954. Being nurtured by the influences of a Christian family resulted in her becoming a faithful member of Zion Baptist Church where she formerly served with the Board of Ushers. Presently, she as an active member of First Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Joseph A. Bryant. In the community, she was a member of the Downtown Senior Citizens and the Men In Christ Ministries. During her leisure, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing her favorite card game Phase Ten and was a good checker game player. A lover of nature, she enjoyed sitting on her front porch basking in the sun and she also like taking long scenic rides in the car.
