Ms. Erica Alexis Graves departed this life on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.
Erica was born on July 30, 1960 to Marie Lamberth Graves and the late Pastor Willie Albert Graves, Sr. in Rockingham County, North Carolina. She was educated in both the Rockingham County and Guilford County School Systems. Shortly after graduation, she relocated to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Erica worked several jobs in home health care, customer service and finished her career as a Lead Team Member for Swanson’s Distribution Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The moments in life that filled her space with the most joys were eating lots of southern-styled cooked foods, taking drives to the mountains, visiting and talking with family and friends. Her jewel moments were talking and spending time with her MOTHER.
Erica was preceded in death by brothers, Gary L. and Barry J. Graves; maternal and paternal grandparents.
Cherishing her memory are: beloved mother, Marie Lamberth Graves of Reidsville; sisters, Gale Stephens (Russell) of Danville, Virginia, Deborah Graves (William) of Reidsville, Victoria Graves (Tim) of Greensboro and Cynthia Ann Millner (Nelson) of Reidsville; brothers, Michael Graves (Sedra) of Honolulu, Hawaii, Adrian Mc Kinnon (Bennita) of Braselton, Georgia and Orlando McKinnon of Baltimore, Maryland; step-mother, JoAnn Graves of Greensboro; special uncle, Robert Lamberth of Greensboro; special cousins, Andree Settle of Reidsville and Helen Hayward (Sister) of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; special friend, Cookie of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of very dear friends.
A Memorial & Service of Remembrance of Erica’s life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2023 from the chapel of Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street with Pastor L. Bernard Florence presiding.
