Sylvia “Diane” Sizemore, 80, left this earthly life Thursday, January 18, 2024, at LifeBrite Community Hospital of Stokes, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Diane was a life-long resident of Stokes County. She was born June 6 1943, to the late Howard Mays and Ruby Carter Mays. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and was employed with various textile companies throughout the years. Diane enjoyed quilting, knitting; however her greatest joy was her grandkids.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Franklin Sizemore, Jr.; brother Samuel Mays, sister Vivian Hutson, and great-great-granddaughter (Baby Serinetey).
Survivors include her sons Jeffrey Sizemore (Brenda) and Jason Sizemore (Marsha); daughters; Cindy Sizemore and Pam Bullins. Also left to cherish Diane’s memory are her grandchildren Brandi Sizemore, Matthew Sizemore, Alisha Cardwell, Casie Martinez (Joel), Chris Germonto, Evan Sizemore, and Lorin Sizemore; great-grandchildren Destinie Atha (Dalton), Chloee Murphy, C.J. Bailey, Frankie Bailey, Alex Bailey, Jacob Sizemore, and Noa Martinez; great-great-grandchildren Chase Bullins, Mariyah Atha, Logan Atha, Kamren Carey, and Lynette Lipscomb; sisters Frankie Gyourko, Thelma Wilson, and Pat Sparks (Ray).
The family extends their appreciation to the nursing staff at Life-Brite Hospital for Diane’s end of life care.
